There have been many times in my life when I have wished that I could have accessed help of one form or another without feeling like I owed someone something. Knowing that what help I got now could be repaid in future one way or another would have made it easier to do so.

So now I get the chance. The Ancient Ways Inc. is our vehicle to make a difference. With my partner Michael, The Wayfinder, we have finally put our plans over the last four years into motion. We get to help out. This requires some lateral thinking to make this idea meaningful and viable in the 21^st century. In that respect The Ancient Ways Inc. is like no other organisation you have ever seen.

The Ancient Ways Inc. aims to foster a community spirit and build the foundations of a knowledge base for future members of Organisation. This we hope to achieve through A charity arm, setting up projects and programs to assist families in crisis. The Organisation aims to further assist such families and individuals through providing Social welfare work through qualified workers and, in the future, a residential care program for children with disabilities and/or social disadvantage.

Our focus has always been on the needs of children. We therefore link closely with the “Rights of the child” and aim to assist any family in crisis no matter what the family structure is. Inclusively, respectfully and with dignity.

With due respect for the earth and its environs we aim to make a difference in more than one area. We aim to walk our talk. We aim to be true to our path and true to our hearts.

Our environmental focus will be one to be envied by other organisations. We will keep abreast of new information and pass it on quickly to our members. We will be active in our world in attempts to make it a better place for our children.

Ultimately this Organisation is about seeking personal growth and Enlightenment through community building and sharing and working together to gather a body of knowledge and pave The Ancient Ways Inc., for ALL the children/ members to come.

Partly this will be achieved through activities and I take great pleasure in announcing the first two projects.

*A parenting group for parents of children up to the age of six from pregnancy. I found a distinct lack of relevant information for people who come from an alternative spiritual path. This will begin with gatherings at Long Hall Mt Barker and/or at local cafes etc around the hills areas. Members and non members are welcome.

*A food parcel project to build up and supply to families in crisis enough to “get them by”. Through our social workers we hope to provide “helpful” help without all the excess baggage and give families an opportunity to give back.
